Blogger

A new fun innovative technological tool to use for teachers as well as a way to motivate students to use their computers in a educational and positive way rather than just for surfing the web, playing games, and social networking.

  1. I agree with you that this is a great tool but how would you use it for PE? Also, are you concerned about the time required to monitor the site?

  2. I agree with Caesar- How will you use this for P.E.? Our P.E. teachers rarely see the inside of a classroom. I guess you could use it on rainy days!

  3. It would be interesting to put surveys that keep track on how students are striving to keep themselves healthy. Every week or so, you could put up a graph showing how many students claimed to have exercised at least three times a week, or made time for breakfast. Or, during "mile-run" days, students can use this website to see records and be motivated to run faster or etc...

  4. You can use the site as a study guide or extra resource for students futher their understanding in their bones or muscles with structure and function.

  5. It seems that creativity is a must when utilizing this for PE. It can be used to engage and expand what is already being taught. Also, students can have PE homework that supports what they are learning in class. You could also have collaborative learning. Students can post cardio/fitness ideas on the blog.

  6. I would plan on posting information about each unit such as our monthly themes, activities, history of sport etc...
